About the District

The Evergreen Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on January 11, 2019 by the Manatee County, Florida Board of County Commissioners, Ordinance No. 19-04 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.

The Evergreen CDD encompasses an area of approximately 140.47 acres within unincorporated Manatee County. The land within the District is generally located south of Braden River, north of 34th Avenue East and west of 41st Street East..

The Evergreen CDD is also authorized to exercise special powers to plan, acquire construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate and maintain additional systems and facilities for Parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and educational uses and Security, including by not limited to guardhouses, fences, and gates, electronic intrusion systems, and patrol cars, when authorized by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Department or other proper governmental agencies; except that the District may not exercise any police power, but may contract with the appropriate local general-purpose government agencies for an increased level of such services within the District boundaries.
